院生が9月にヘルシンキのアアルト大学で開催されたEPIC 2025で発表しました！
藤田研の張さんと苗村研の矢作さん（副指導生）が、産業エスノグラフィーの学会 EPIC で発表しました。2人ともボランティアとしても活躍しました。学会では多様な研究者やエスノグラファー、デザイナーとの交流の機会がありました。
全体としての大きな議題は、AIをいかにリサーチに利用していくのか、そして調査を担う人間の役割はどう変化していくのか、という点でした。欧米の研究者や実務家が真剣かつ熱のこもった議論を交わし、エスノグラフィーの可能性と課題が浮き彫りとなりました。
Zhang from the Fujita Lab and Yahagi from the Naemura Lab (co-supervised) presented at EPIC 2025, the international conference on industrial ethnography, held at Aalto University, Helsinki. Both also contributed as volunteers during the event. The conference provided valuable opportunities to interact with a wide range of researchers, ethnographers, and designers.
A central theme of the conference was how AI can be incorporated into research and how the role of the human researcher may shift in this process. Researchers and practitioners from Europe and North America engaged in serious and energetic discussions, highlighting both the potential and the challenges of applied ethnography.
